David Anderson and Joe Vandezande discussed recovering old tapes. Joe described using a homemade dehydrator for 3D printer filaments to salvage tapes.

Jeff Burrell discussed his 2068 FPGA board project, which supports downloading cores from an SD card. He is currently working on resolving a sound module issue and contemplating adding other cores to the project.

Paul DeMelto discussed his work in music production using retro computers like the TI 99, expressing interest in programming sound manipulation software. He mentioned challenges with the TI 99’s sound chip and explored other retro computing platforms like the ZX Spectrum for potential music production projects.

The group discussed the similarities between Timex Computer models 2048 and 2068, as well as software compatibility. David Solly raised concerns about the learning curve of the ZX Spectrum Next and sought advice on transferring software.

David Anderson proposed gathering at VCF Midwest in 2025 to meet in person.
