Peyton’s Holiday Program Demo
Peyton responded to a seasonal programming challenge by demonstrating a Christmas program from Synchro Sette magazine (Volume 2, Number 11, December 1983). The program featured animated graphics with typing sounds and a fragment of a holiday tune.
Peyton also worked on the Vintage Computing Christmas Challenge 2025 to create a snowflake design. Version 1 was a Basic approach with direct coordinate plotting, version 2 was optimized using AI (Gemini) to make code more efficient and compact.
Sound Chips
We had an extensive conversation about sound chips for the Timex computers, noting that =the AY sound chips (8912/8910) becoming rare and expensive. FPGA emulator versions and the Yamaha YM2149 chip are available.
KiloZed and 3D TS 2068 Case
Ingo gave us an update on his Kilozed and testing Carl’s super-1000 board; Peyton showed us a 3D model to the TS 2068 case he’s been working on.
