Hiawatha Demby

Hiawatha Demby was an active member of the Triangle Sinclair User’s Group and contributed to its newsletter.

Demby attended the University of North Carolina as an undergraduate student, worked for its Radio, Television and Motion Pictures (RTVMP) department in the early 1980s before joining its central IT department.

After inventing several electronic gadgets, Demby took five years off to earn his doctorate in biomedical engineering at UNC, rejoining the IT department. He retired in 2020, after more than 30 years of service.
