Dual Screen Mode Support (ASC 004)

Application Software Component 004 from Timex’s Application Development Library. It’s a machine-code module that gives BASIC programs the TS2068’s second display file at 24576. It can write characters and strings, position the cursor, clear and scroll ranges of lines, and read back characters, colors and the cursor. It can also copy or swap lines between the two screens and choose which one is showing.

This is the assembler listing of IODS.SRC, version 002, with its symbol table. There’s no typed documentation with it, but the listing’s comments give every BASIC entry point and parameter address. Version 001 was dated January 6, 1984; version 002 added the routine that swaps lines between screens. Page 27 was scanned shifted to the left, which cut off the first digit or two of each address on that page.
