This 2026 calendar features converted images of classic Timex and Sinclair hardware, with each image carefully optimized for the ZX Spectrum SCREEN$ format and monochrome printing on the Sinclair ZX Printer 2040.
The images were converted using a modified version of Anders Tornblad’s ZX Spectrumizer. The original converter rendered dark colors using PAPER rather than INK attributes, causing them to appear light when printed. Ryan added a custom monochrome mode to address this limitation, with a dither option that provides optimal results for printer output. Each image received pixel-level attention to ensure the best possible representation of the hardware.
The calendar places machines in the month of their release (based on available documentation and US release dates), with additional hardware filling the remaining months.
