A recreation of CP/M 2.2 for the TS2068, built as a cartridge, that runs CP/M on the computer’s own Z80 with a 64-column by 24-row screen. It comes with the usual utilities and with the Infocom games Planetfall and Zork I. At the A> prompt you can try DIR, TYPE README.TXT, STAT, COLOR, HELLO, SUBMIT DEMO or HI; PIP copies files, ERA erases them, ED edits text, and ASM and LOAD build programs.
Disks can be held on a TSPico (its RAMDisk, saved with TPSAVE before power-off, or an SD card with the optional CP/M service on newer TSPico firmware) or on the Oliger/JLO disk interface with 160 KB or 320 KB disks. The PicoVideo extension can give 80 columns. Extra writable memory in the DOCK area (32 KB) is needed. It also runs in Fuse with the Oliger/JLO interface and in the browser on TSRun, where the project page loads the emulator, cartridge and disk automatically. A host-side tool, cpm_disk.py, creates disk images and copies files on and off them.
By Jon Becker, 2026; this post covers version cpm22-v0.1.0. The author notes that it is still CP/M 2.2 (CP/M 3 is future work), that only drive A: is available, and that the emulator tests pass but physical TSPico, Oliger and PicoVideo hardware has not yet been tested. The TS2068 ROMs and its font are not included; public builds use the public-domain font8x8 font. Source, documentation and downloads: github.com/jon0x0/ts2068.
This is a separate project from the CP/M that Timex Computer of Portugal supplied for the FDD 3000 drive, which ran on the drive’s own Z80; see CP/M 2.2 and Monitor Emulator for the Timex FDD 3000.
