80 Column Software Driver Well, every time I go out that way, I also visit with Nazir Pashtoon, now the head of CATUG (Chicago Area Timex UG). He gave me a disk that has the long-mysterious & rumored 80 column software driver from Timex of Portugal, no less! 80 column software from Timex themselves! He gave me a demo Timex/Sinclair 2068
Addendum & Errata In last month’s newsletter, l want to clarify a few statements. In the schematic, pin #8 in J8B is shown with AC. This is what Nazir meant by being non-standard. I have spoken to Nazir recently & he said that there are errors in this schematic concerning the RAM (U19 U26) and with the wire Timex/Sinclair 2068
And In Conclusion Nazir told me that you should check out the September 1991 issue of Radio-Electronics magazine. Specifically, he said you should look in the “tear & fo!d-out” section. There, you will find great prices for disk drives.
And In Conclusion A newsletter was received that I wasn’t receiving previously. It is called QZX. It is geared for the amateur (ham) radio operator with Timex/Sinclair computer equipment, such as yours truly, KA2CSH. I also spoke with Curt Carlson of the Mile High users group. He stated that the SMUG digitizer has a mistake in it. If Timex/Sinclair 2068
Caveat Emptor There are a few notes about the enclosed schematic. This schematic is basically the controller portion of the FDD unit and can apply to the older 3-piece units loosely. You will notice that at the top left is the diagram of the power supply- Nazir says that this is NOT what says we have under
Correspondence Dept I’ve gotten newsletter exchanges from the following: I’ve even gotten this newsletter mentioned in Bill Ferrebee’s column in Computer Monthly magazine. I know that there are a few more newsletters out there being published, such as Nite-Time News from CATUG & the newsletter from SMUG. Is QZX still publishing? I’m a ham myself. Come on,
Editorial First off, let me apologize for being so late with this issue. I have been busy formatting an additional 50+ names out of 100+ that I received from Bob Swoger of CATUG.
First Things First You’ll notice that this newsletter is late again! You’ll also observe that the time frame for which it covers has been extended, as well. I honestly hope that this will be the last late newsletter. I already have the next one made up. Next month’s newsletter will consist of the documentation that comes with the
It's About Time ... or What Ever Happened to the FDD Newsletter? Allow me to apologize yet again for another delay. Due to circumstances beyond my control, this newsletter is obviously late. lt will be short in news due its lateness.

Mucho Gracias & an Appeal I want to thank all of who have sent me donations. Unfortunately, it’s all been spent I had such pitifully response that I feel that I need to make another appeal.
Random Access and Sequential Data File for the Portuguese Disk System The following base is data program for use in my design business. Although specifically designed for my personal use I believe there are several features that would be of interest to you. Timex/Sinclair 2068
Sorry, I Lied! Hello there! Hope you’re enjoying your summer. First off, you might notice that there’s no color picture ог 1770 FDC fact sheet that I promised in the last issue. Well, that’s because I am running little behind and figured that the production time involved to do such a task would involve more time than I
