Specific for the Byte Back MD -68 modem, this terminal program features 300 baud rate, a 32K+ buffer (allows storage of data in REM statements only), auto answer. The program’s command line sets word length (5 to 8 bits), stop bits, parity, duplex, a prompt character and a character delay; opens and closes the capture buffer, transmits the buffer, and turns the printer on and off. It can also send and receive BASIC programs with another computer running SpectraTERM, using an ENQ handshake (“AWAITING ENQ”, “TRANSMITTING PROGRAM”, “XFER COMPLETE”).
The sign-on reads “SpectraTERM © 1984, Spectrasoft Incorporated, Ver 1.30 – Created 17-Oct-84, Licensed to Byte-Back Co.”. The SpectraTERM 1.30 product page has more on its features and limits.
