Penetrator (Cassette)

Products: Penetrator
Date: 1983
Type: Program
Platform(s): TS 2068

Penetrator is a high-speed arcade game in which you fly your ship over hills and through tunnels to bomb the enemy base without getting shot down. Your mission is to fly through the landscape and destroy the enemy neutron bomb installation, then return the way you came for a harder mission. The menu offers one or two players, a training mode (“Training Control Center”) in which you can practise any of the four stages, a landscape editor, loading another landscape from tape, and switching the sirens off; C shows a command summary. A top-five high score table records players’ names.

The game text reads “Written by – Philip Mitchell – Copyright “Beam software””. Timex Computer Corporation released it for the TS2068 in 1983. This is the cassette version; the cartridge version, which the related product post says was never released, is #51748. The download also has the TZX and several screen images.
