One of the really nice features of the new Timex TS2068 is its 64 column mode. But it is not as simple as turning a switch. As you probably know, when you use the wide mode, the computer opens a second display file with a starting address of 24576. Prior to the second display file this memory contained the stack as well as other machine variables.

The first thing, then is to clear that area in such a way so that the stack is maintained but safely out of the way. The following routine will accomplish that and then leave you in the 64 column mode.
