The renewals continue to come in although the renewal rate (about 50%) is not fantastic as people change computers. We really appreciate the good words that many enclose. I am tempted to put more of them in the friends column, but do not like it when other magazines publish congratulatory letters so I have refrained. Reality comes along too as with the letter from VE2LI who writes “Pleased with what I have received except for the very very poor printing of some programs which are quite impossible to read.” Unfortunately is some cases he is correct. We try to give you the best copy available, but sometimes the listings furnished us have some rough spots in them. We would introduce more errors than we would correct if we retyped them, and we do not have time to do that anyway. The printer that we now use does wonders with some of the stuff we give him. Sometimes odd things happen too, like the time the postmark one contributor’s letter soaked through the envelope onto the listing inside.
