While getting on RTTY remains on ‘the front burner’, I have been fiddling a bit with a few machine language programs. I had a lot of fun with the Scientific Software’s Disassembler reviewed in the last issue, it came in pretty handy making back-up copies of all my ‘protected’ tapes. Next, I became intrigued with a game, Highway Robbery, that was in Jan/Feb Sync Magazine. It had the hex codes, a hex loader, and a bunch of other programs with it. The extra programs were to be used if you had trouble punching in all the hex codes perfectly. It looked like a bunch of work, so I took the even harder way out. The source code was also given, so l decided to enter it using Scientific Software’s Assembler/Debugger, described in July QZX. It was not as easy as it sounds, but has been challenging and educational. I will have a ‘tutorial’ article on it shortly, assuming I have no problems finishing it up.
