# Timex Sinclair Online User Group Meeting March 31, 2025

[Tim Swenson](http://localhost/indiv/tim-swenson/) talked his ongoing work with [ZX BASIC (also known as Boriel Basic)](https://zxbasic.readthedocs.io/en/latest/). He mentioned that the last significant hurdle involved the load and save functionality. Tim and [Gustavo](http://localhost/indiv/gustavo-pane/) are collaborating to finish adapting ZX BASIC to handle the differences between the ZX Spectrum and TS 2068.

Tim also discussed his efforts to catalog the various types of ZX81s and 1000s. He that he has collected a few data points, but he’s aiming for a more comprehensive dataset. Currently, he has identified similarities in ULA and ROM versions across U.S. models, but more data is needed to confirm these findings. He encouraging everyone to check their ULA versions and ROM numbers and report them to the group.

[Stewart Newfeld](http://localhost/indiv/stewart-newfeld/) joined the meeting and we discussed plans for the Vintage Computer Festival Midwest.

[Ingo Schmied](http://localhost/indiv/ingo-schmied/) and [Carl Miles](http://localhost/indiv/carl-miles/) revealed their project to create a “Super 1000.” They discussed the design of a new motherboard that will fit in a ZX81/TS1000 case and incorporates a joystick adapter, WESPI and other new features.
