The user group had a BBS, using software written and maintained by Bob Swoger and hosted by his employer, Motorola. It was hosted on Digital Equipment Corporation minicomputers. Initially hosted on a [PDP 11/23](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDP-11), it later moved to a PDP 11/60. When the PDP went down in 1990, Swoger migrated the BBS to a VAX.
